SCROLL

Fine bubbles are microscopic bubbles with a diameter of less than 100 micrometers. In the aquaculture industry, fine bubbles have transcended the role of mere “bubbles” to become a foundational technology that optimizes fish health and growth while creating an ideal rearing environment.

They offer the following five key benefits to aquaculture operators:

Improved feeding activity and feed efficiency simultaneously shorten the harvest cycle and reduce feed costs.

Prevents oxygen depletion during high-temperature summer periods and at night, avoiding sudden business losses and ensuring operational stability.

Eliminates oxygen shortages to enable high-density rearing, maximizing harvest yield and revenue per unit area.

Reduces stress to prevent fish diseases; lowers medication costs and enables the branding of safe, high-quality products.

Aerobic microorganisms decompose ammonia and sludge, reducing water exchange costs and enabling environmentally friendly aquaculture.

The field trial in Vietnam demonstrated that the introduction of Nakajima Fine Bubble nozzles significantly boosted the survival rate from 70% to 92%. Furthermore, the FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio) improved from 1.4 to 1.3—reducing operating costs—while the projected harvest yield increased substantially from 7.8 tons to 10.3 tons.

The synergistic effect of increased revenue from higher survival rates, reduced costs through improved FCR, and better disease management makes it possible to increase gross profit per aquaculture cycle by 48%.

メカニズム

再現性が市場を変える

Nakajima Fine Bubble utilizes a specialized “Venturi structure” (a mechanism that accelerates flow by constricting the channel). This design enables the automatic intake and efficient dispersion of gas, allowing for the generation of fine bubbles (microbubbles) using a mechanism that is simpler than ever before.

Biofloc Aquaculture

Biofloc Technology Transforming the Aquaculture Industry

Biofloc Technology (BFT) is a sustainable land-based aquaculture system that simultaneously achieves water purification and on-site feed production by cultivating clusters of beneficial bacteria—known as “flocs”—within the water.

The mechanism is remarkably simple and efficient.

Bacteria decompose and absorb the waste (highly toxic ammonia) excreted by the farmed fish to form “flocs.” These flocs then serve directly as nutrient-rich “natural feed” for the fish.

Because waste is converted into feed, the daily large-scale water exchanges essential to conventional aquaculture are eliminated, enabling clean, low-cost, high-density farming.

In short, it is a technology that creates a tiny, self-sustaining ecosystem within the tank, allowing fish to be raised without the need for water changes.
